    • Merlin Annual Pass holders: Unlimited free entry for 12 months to all 30+ UK Merlin attractions including the Eye, Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE London, London Dungeon, Legoland Windsor and Alton Towers. From around £179 per adult — pays for itself in 4 visits.
    • Carers with proof of full-time care responsibility: Free companion ticket on the same terms as Essential Companion.

    • Child 3–15 (Standard): £33 advance — significant saving versus the £37 adult rate.
    • Child 3–15 (Fast-Track): £45 — Fast-Track boarding for the whole family.
    • Disabled visitor: Reduced rate, varies by ticket type, with one Essential Companion free.
    • Groups of 15+: ~10% discount per ticket via group booking direct on londoneye.com.
    • School groups (UK schools only): Significant educational discount via the official site's Education section.

How to claim a free or reduced ticket

Under-3s: No ticket required — they ride free on a parent's lap. Just walk to the boarding deck with your child. ID may be requested for borderline cases (a child's passport, NHS letter or birth certificate is fine).

Essential Companion: Book the disabled visitor's reduced ticket first; the companion ticket is added automatically at no extra charge during checkout. Both visitors need to bring proof — a Blue Badge, PIP / DLA / AA letter, Access Card or recognised national disability card.

Merlin Annual Pass holders: Bookings must be made directly on londoneye.com or by phone using your pass number — the pass cannot be redeemed through this reseller site. Pass holders can book up to 30 days ahead with no booking fee.

Combination tickets: book the Eye slot at a specific date and time, and the partner attraction (Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE, London Dungeon, Shrek's Adventure) is valid for any day within 90 days. Best value if you're doing 3 or more attractions on a London trip.

Groups of 15+: Book directly through the Merlin group bookings team on londoneye.com — discounts of around 10% per ticket plus reserved boarding slots.

Do under-3s really ride free?
Yes — no ticket required. They ride on a parent's lap. Bring proof of age (passport or NHS letter) if your child looks close to the threshold. From age 3 the Child rate applies.
Is a Merlin Annual Pass worth it?
For UK residents visiting multiple Merlin attractions, yes — the Annual Pass (~£179) pays for itself in 4 attraction visits. For overseas visitors on a single London trip, a combination ticket is usually better value. Pass holders must book on londoneye.com, not through this site.
Does the Royal Collection 1-Year Pass work here?
No. The Royal Collection 1-Year Pass covers Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace and Holyroodhouse — it's a separate scheme from Merlin Entertainments. The London Eye is operated by Merlin, not the Royal Household.
Do students get a discount?
No general student discount. The closest equivalent is a Merlin Annual Pass for UK residents, or a combination ticket if you're visiting multiple London attractions. Some third-party hostel and student-travel passes occasionally include discounted Eye tickets — check before relying on this.

Is there a family ticket?
No formal family ticket. Under-3s ride free, ages 3–15 pay the Child rate (£33 Standard, £45 Fast-Track). For 2 adults + 2 children the Standard total is around £140; combination tickets with another Merlin attraction can reduce this by 30%.
Are seniors discounted?
No specific senior discount — all visitors aged 16 and over pay the adult rate. Seniors who are disabled visitors qualify for the reduced disabled rate with a free Essential Companion.
Can I get a refund if I miss my slot?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your slot. After that, the booking is non-refundable but staff at the boarding deck can usually accommodate riders who arrive 10–15 minutes late. Slots over 30 minutes missed are at the discretion of the boarding host.
